|updated 28 May 2025
Yesterday the summer edition of the Pitti Uomo men's fashion fair in Florence got underway, the first "real" edition since the pandemic. It was clear that there was an overwhelming need for people in the industry to see each other again, to meet their colleagues in real life, to be able to see and try on the clothes and shoes before placing the orders for next year, and so on. Here's a report with lots of photos from the first day's events.

Yesterday the summer edition of the Pitti Uomo men's fashion fair in Florence got underway, the first "real" edition since the pandemic. It was clear that there was an overwhelming need for people in the industry to see each other again after the pandemic, to meet their colleagues in real life, to be able to see and handle the garments and shoes before placing orders for next year, and so on. Here's a report with lots of photos from the first day's events.
The buzz was clear among visitors to the fair, now fully on display again after covid, and "everyone" (almost, as we mentioned yesterday, many from Asia are still missing as restrictions still apply in many places there), both exhibitors and visitors returned for the menswear mecca that is Pitti Uomo.
The fair which is thus held for the 102nd time (read more about the history of Pitti Uomo in this article) at the Fortezza da Basso in central Florence. We gave you a quick glimpse from day 1 in yesterday's article, here are even more pictures and other things from the first day.
