Bally curling boots women Guard III black suede
The classic original Bally curling boot. Here in it's latest iteration which features a Vibram Arctic rubber sole with excellent grip, which together with the rubber galosch part that comes up over the shoe makes them perfect for winter.
The upper is made of a fine black calf suede, with a warm shearling lining. A rear zipper makes it easy to put on and take off the boots.
Bally was founded all the way back in 1851, and is one of the world's longstanding luxury brands. Production is mainly done in Switzerland - for example the curling boots are still produced in Schönenwerd in the Swiss alps where the company was started - and Italy.

The cemented construction is the most basic construction method for shoes. Here the upper together with midsole / lasting board (as is the case for all our Skolyx shoes made with this construction, where a proper real leather midsole is used) or in simpler cases a fabric sole base is attached to the outsole with only adhesives, no stitching.
Nowadays the cement used is strong and can often last long, but resoling the shoes is usually trickier. Often a cobbler only attach a new wear piece on top of the original outsole, to make the shoes last longer.
