Bally curling boots women Guard III burgundy suede
A boot properly made for winter wear, the original Bally curling boot, here in its latest iteration. The upper is made of a fine dark burgundy calf suede, lined with warm shearling for comfort and insulation. Also the insole is warm lined. A rear zipper makes them easy to put on and take off.
Equipped with a Vibram Arctic rubber sole that offers excellent grip, while the rubber galosh section rising over the shoe adds extra protection against snow and slush.
Bally was founded all the way back in 1851, and is one of the world's longstanding luxury brands. Production is mainly done in Switzerland - for example the curling boots are still produced in Schönenwerd in the Swiss alps where the company was started - and Italy.

The cemented construction is the most basic construction method for shoes. Here the upper together with midsole / lasting board (as is the case for all our Skolyx shoes made with this construction, where a proper real leather midsole is used) or in simpler cases a fabric sole base is attached to the outsole with only adhesives, no stitching.
Nowadays the cement used is strong and can often last long, but resoling the shoes is usually trickier. Often a cobbler only attach a new wear piece on top of the original outsole, to make the shoes last longer.
