A modern interpretation of the classic GAT - German Army Trainer, here presented in dark blue suede with smooth calf leather in the same shade. This version is a wearable variant of the iconic 70s model, retaining the same functionality that the original had at its first launch. The sole of these sneakers is made from natural rubber to ensure long-lasting wear, while the inside is lined with natural-coloured vegetable-tanned leather that provides excellent breathability.

Delivered with two pairs of laces, one pair in a colour matching the shoes, one pair in off-white.

- High quality chrome free full grain calf and premium calf suede uppers.
- Fully lined in vegetable tanned Italian leather which is kind to the foot and breathes well.
- A thicker more built-up and cushioned insole, covered with vegetable tanned leather.
- Comfortable padding along the opening and in the tongue.
- Comfortable gum rubber soles.
- Leather board heel stiffeners that moulds nicely to the foot, instead of plastic heel stiffeners which are by far the most common in sneakers.
- Midsole in more durable leather board (which is like a base inside the shoe under the loose insole), instead of being made of a felt cloth or cardboard as in almost all other sneakers.
- Shank in arch of the foot which gives the shoe comfortable stability in the area that is not supposed to bend.

Nowadays the cement used is strong and can often last long, but resoling the shoes is usually trickier. Often a cobbler only attach a new wear piece on top of the original outsole, to make the shoes last longer.
Basic shoe care:
- Avoid wearing the same pair two days in a row. Shoes need time to dry up, otherwise they will wear out faster.
- Brush / wipe off your sneakers after use to remove dirt that otherwise will increase wear and tear.
- Use shoe trees and a shoehorn to retain the shape of your shoes and make them last longer.
- Treat leather with shoe cream or a moisturising conditioner / suede and textiles with waterproofing spray
- Something that makes a big difference to the overall impression is a sole edge dye that restores the sole edge, here we have Tarrago Sneakers Total White for white or Total Black for black.
